The SL-3 is a dual 12" two-way three-driver line array, designed for high-quality sound in both mobile and fixed installations. The challenge in designing the SL-3 line array system was how to fit three high-output units and a high-frequency waveguide into an astonishingly compact enclosure while maintaining excellent acoustic characteristics.
The SL-3 utilizes all neodymium units, ensuring high sensitivity, compact size, and lightweight. A 4-inch (100mm) titanium composite diaphragm compression driver with a sensitivity of up to 112dB is mounted on a high-frequency waveguide designed to meet all requirements of wavefront correction technology with a projection angle of 100° horizontal and 10° vertical. This true line array adheres strictly to this physical definition, providing the SL-3 with excellent penetration and smoothness.
Two 10-inch paper cone 75mm voice coil low-frequency drivers are placed on either side of the midrange horn. The specially designed carbon fiber paper cone significantly improves rigidity, making the SL-3's performance in the mid-low frequencies particularly solid and powerful. Its tuning frequency is as low as 60Hz, and it can perfectly and seamlessly pair with the SL-BASS subwoofers in a stacked or flown configuration. Thanks to the identical width of the enclosures, the SL-3 can be directly flown with the SL-4 as a downfill for large-scale performances.
The SL-3 system can be used as the main sound reinforcement system, either by hanging or stacking on the ground, in conjunction with the subwoofer (SL-BASS) or the ultra-low frequency subwoofer (SL218B). The SL-3's professional and user-friendly hanging system benefits from a three-point load-bearing design, high-precision, high-strength metal hanging parts, and safe, durable neodymium magnetic pins. It features a preset angle adjustment system, adjustable from 0° to 10°, with a minimum adjustment increment of 1°. The SL-3 can be seamlessly paired with the SL-BASS subwoofer for supplementary use in large-scale systems or directly paired with the SL218B ultra-low frequency subwoofer.
