Application Scenarios for SL-4
The SL-4, a dual 12" three-way line array, is designed for high-quality sound reinforcement in various settings:
Theaters and Auditoriums: Ideal for delivering clear and powerful audio in large indoor venues.
TV Studios: Ensures precise and reliable sound for broadcasting environments.
Multi-Purpose Halls: Perfect for flexible spaces that host various events.
Clubs and Nightclubs: Provides the high-energy sound needed for vibrant nightlife.
Live Houses: Great for live music venues requiring robust and dynamic audio.
Sports Arenas: Suitable for large indoor sports facilities.
Bars and Theme Parks: Enhances the audio experience in both relaxed and entertainment-focused environments.
Outdoor Performances: Well-suited for outdoor events, ensuring high-quality sound across large areas.
The SL-4 is the pinnacle of the SICA brand, perfectly addressing rental companies' concerns. With a maximum sound pressure level output of 140dB, the SL-4 handles large mobile performance applications effortlessly. Large performances require coverage over distances up to 100 meters, where air temperature and humidity changes can absorb mid-to-high frequencies by 10-20dB at 50 meters. If the mid-to-high frequency headroom is insufficient, significant mid-to-high frequency boosts are needed to compensate for far-field attenuation.
Despite its extreme compactness with a 1000mm width, the SL-4 weighs just 49kg, comparable to many brands' dual 10-inch three-way line arrays. This makes the SL-4 as light and flexible as a small system, suitable for various medium and small performances, achieving high attendance and low usage costs.
The SL-4 uses all neodymium units, ensuring high sensitivity, compact size, and lightweight. It has two 3-inch 75mm voice coil titanium composite diaphragm compression drivers with a sensitivity of up to 112dB, mounted on an integrated waveguide designed to meet all wavefront correction technology requirements, strictly adhering to the physical definition of a true line array.
On either side of the high-frequency drivers are four 6.5-inch 38mm paper cone midrange drivers, with a sensitivity of up to 102dB and a frequency upper limit of 1290Hz, ensuring midrange analysis. The lower frequency limit of the 6.5-inch midrange is 250Hz. The two 12-inch paper cone 75mm voice coil low-frequency drivers are V-shaped and placed on either side of the midrange horn. The specially designed carbon fiber paper cone significantly improves rigidity, making the SL-4's mid-low frequency performance particularly robust and powerful. Its tuning frequency is as low as 50Hz.
The SL-4 system can be used as the main sound reinforcement system, either by hanging or stacking on the ground, in conjunction with the subwoofer (SL-BASS) or the ultra-low frequency subwoofer (SL218B). The professional and user-friendly hanging system benefits from a three-point load-bearing design, high-precision, high-strength metal hanging parts, and safe, durable neodymium magnetic pins. It features a preset angle adjustment system, adjustable from 0° to 10°, with a minimum adjustment increment of 1°. The SL-4 can be seamlessly paired with the SL-BASS subwoofer for supplementary use in large-scale systems or directly paired with the SL218B ultra-low frequency subwoofer.
